The Architecture of Eden – Hugh Pearman

The name Eden Project why ?

pg 9 – There is no once-and-for-all version. Eden is organic: it grows nd changes… what will it become and where.. this intriguing uncertainty.

pg 14 – Eden was intended to develop and mature in three ways : through the growth of plants, through the growth of buildings and landscapes and the international growth of awareness of Eden as an enabling ecological device- an attitude.

pg 14- It is axiomatic that everyone involved in the project had to buy into that attitude, as epitomized by Eden’s chief Executive , Tim Smit

pg 15 – Eden is part of architecture’s unending search for transparency and lightness: a quest that can be traced back to the rise of the medieval Gothic Cathedrals ( relate to the structure of gbtb)
